This is the Tony Mag Born Free Pro Model, drawn by Stevie Caballero. It’s an all-around “Advanced Universal” Park&Pool deck, made on the Supreme Concave and hand silk screened graphics. Here’s how Tony Mag put it;

“I first saw Stevie Caballero skate in the early 80’s, probably at the first contest I entered at Del Mar Skate Ranch when I had just gotten to California from Sweden. I think I was 17 and he might have been 13 or 14. I was totally blown away at how smooth and comfortable he looked on a skateboard and at the precision and style that was going down.

Since then, I’ve skated with Stevie a ton over the years, all over the world and more so lately, as he moved to San Diego. Earlier in the year, I was at one of his art shows and saw this graphic he had drawn that really spoke to me personally, since I’ve always been really into the free spirited and “Born Free” culture of skateboarding, which is not unlike that of the MC community.  I’ve ridden a bike for years and love everything about motorcycles.  Like Stevie, I’m a huge Evel Knievel fan. It was actually Mike Ternasky that really got me into Evel and explained the Born Free culture of both skateboarding and MC, which I had not thought of before then.

The idea of having a graphic of mine drawn by one of the biggest legends in skateboarding was also just fantastic and a huge honor, so I couldn’t have been more stoked to have Stevie agree to the colab. I spent some time getting the art prepared for silk screening at Watson and it’s made on a slightly shaped Park&Pool deck, laminated on the Supreme Concave, in a few colorways.”

The Supreme Concave features a seamless and elliptical concave curve across the body of the board and a dual radius curved tail with a fair amount of concave. The dual radius in combination of the concave tail forms a pocket for your back foot that is unbelievably comfortable and secure.

The shape is our newly designed “Advanced Universal” Park&Pool Standard shape, which is the first of a series of three different sizes of this basic shaped deck, which features design & functionality from the 80’s mixed with more modern design aspects for a well-rounded and comprehensive ride in a variety of environments.

It’s made in California at Watson Lam and constructed with high quality maple wood and available in a variety of natural, stained and full dips with the best silk screen job that could be had anywhere. There is only 50 made in the A Series of the Tony Mag Born Free X Caballero version and it’s laser marked as such, including the series number.
