The Tony Mag Kid’n’Cross deck was originally drawn by Francesco Jekill Albertini in the later 80’s. It remains one of T-Mag’s favorite graphic of his and we have heard many stories as to the origin and meaning of the graphic, as Mag and Francesco apparently debated this at length back in the 80’s.
Bob Hickman, one of our many artists, decided to take a stab at this iconic T-Mag graphic and we could not be any more stoked than to include his version of the classic and legendary Kid’n’Cross graphic into the H-Street line.
For a few years now, T-Mag and Bob have made several graphics together. Bob has a very creative and interesting perspective on skateboarding, art and an ability to capture a truth and essence of the moment and turn it into relevant and inspiring artwork.
After many discussions with T-Mag about the meaning of the graphic, we think he’s made a fantastic version of this legendary graphic. Mag calls it an “Aesthetic Experimental Design”. We don’t know what that means but suspect it has something to do with the whole process of creation. Like Bob’s re-imagination of Francesco’s original graphic and the rounded off Mark Logo, also originally designed by Francesco.
The Hickman version of T-Mag’s Kid’n’Cross is available in our Advanced Universal Park&Pool shape that is made right here in California by Legend Skates and also in three standard Street shapes.
The Park&Pool shape: 32.5 X 9, 6.5 Nose, 6.5 Tail and 15.25 Wheelbase.
The Street shapes are standard: 8.0, 8.25 and 8.5.
The dyed veneers are mixed, and some may be naturals.
