Ray Simmonds and Jeff Petit were two bros from Northern California that were good friends with Mike Ternasky. They were early adopters of a street skating movement and gave rise to the idea of going big in a very progressive way that laid immense influence on a generation of street skaters to follow.

Ray was featured in Shackle Me Not and both him and Jeff Petit pulled some incredibly huge, progressive and creative ways of street skating stunts. One of the more notable shots was Ray going off an 80’s launch ramp and doing a stalegrab over a ladder, all in slomo.

This image was so iconic in early street skating but especially Ray Simmonds, who would remain a true skater and innovator from that point but choose a path of engineering rather than professional skateboarding. Nonetheless, Ray and Jeff’s contribution to skateboarding is massive and we thought it’d be rather appropriate to celebrate Ray’s contribution with a graphical re-enacted of this legendary move. Tim Baron and T-Mag worked together last year to make this a reality, and the deck is finally available in standard street shapes, and a Park&Pool old school shape option.

The decks are made in the USA with the best Hard Rock Maple and printed here in California, the street shapes are basic pop shapes. The Park& Pool deck is made on an old school shape that is 32.825 X 8.5, with a 6.875 Nose, 6.75 Tail and 15 Wheelbase.
