DANNY WAY POP HEAVY METAL TRAIN

Shape: Street
Size: 8.0

This is the first time that H-Street, Plan B and XYZ Clothing got together for a colab product and of course, it’s an homage graphic by H-Street super artist Fian Arroyo, to Danny’s original Train graphic that Alphonzo Rawls drew back in the 80’s.

The art was inspired by Danny’s more mature and incredible impact, with all his radical antics in his career and denotes Danny’s heavy-duty accomplishments like no other.

Now available as a standard street shape in several sizes.

About Danny Way

Danny Way grew up skating in Vista, California, with his brother Damon and the OG H-Street Vista crew, like Matt Hensley, Steve Ortega, John Sonner and many more. Danny frequently visited the legendary Del Mar Skate Ranch, where he met and skated with the early 80’s pro’s.  Danny’s natural talent and progressive approach to skateboarding included everything from street skating, mini ramps, to mastering vert, where he applied his technique and made vert skating into the technical and modern version that set the standard for decades to come.

In 1988, 14-year-old Danny won the Skatepark of Houston Shut Up and Skate amateur vert contest. Mike T & T-Mag immediately took him pro with H-Street and gave him his first pro model.

Since H-Street, Danny went on to co-found multiple action sports companies, including DC Shoes, XYZ Clothing and Plan B Skateboards.

Danny also went on to achieve numerous groundbreaking accomplishments in skateboarding, particularly in on the Mega Ramp.  He holds multiple world records. His skills have pushed the boundaries of speed, height, and distance, earning him Guinness World Records and X Games medals.

One of Danny’s most legendary and iconic stunts, one that is not talked about enough in our opinion, occurred on July 9, 2005, when he became the first and only skateboarder to ever jump the Great Wall of China, clearing a 61-foot gap using a custom Mega Ramp. He successfully launched over that Great Wall despite prior injuries, and set records for air height and speed. This achievement proves he just might not be human since he did it with a fractured ankle sustained in an earlier attempt.

Danny holds the Guinness World Record for the longest skateboard ramp jump, achieving a 79-foot 360 air on the mega ramp at X Games in Los Angeles.

And of course, Danny is a Skateboard Hall of Fame Legend.
