This is the all-new Eddie El Gato Elguera Scarecrow, re-created, and re imagined from its original art that was drawn by the legendary Godoy’s back in the 80’s.
Mark Kowalchuk and T-Mag worked together on this for a few months, and it just so happens that it coincides with a fund raiser that Eddie is doing for his totally awesome video series “The Golden Era of Skateboarding”. It’s mostly focused on the first vertical skateboard contest series starting in 1978-1979 with the Hester Series and the 1980 Gold Cup series.
“The Golden Era of Skateboarding” features never before seen footage from early pool riding days and contest, at a time when guys like Eddie Elguera, Jay Adams, Tony Alva, Steve Olson, Duane Peters, Salba and so many more were the super stars of skateboarding.
These were the guys that inspired a young Tony Mag in Sweden to embark on a path of skateboarding and move to California when he was 16. So, it’s a full circle moment to be able to help fund this ambitious and important project. Get this this totally awesome deck design and we will be donating as much of the proceeds that we can manage to Eddie’s project.
The decks are made in the USA with the best Hard Rock Maple and printed here in California, the street shapes are basic pop shapes. The Park& Pool
deck is made on a modern old school shape.
