The Hell Concave has a legendary place in H-Street's long history.
It was inspired by T-Mag’s original Hell Concave design he made infamous in the mid 80, before H-Street was even born. While he was working on his new mold idea at the UWS factory around ‘84, the guys at the shop thought the thing looked crazy and essentially, un-skateable. As a fun prank, late one night, they left a note on Mag’s work that just said “Hell Concave”. T-Mag thought the joke was funny he also thought they may be onto something and adopted the moniker for his new Concave design which would create some controversy; it seemed everyone had an opinion. Some people loved it and swore by it, others not so much.
Later, Mike Ternasky came up with this T-Shirt design that was a play off this 80’s British pop dude “Frankie Goes To Hollywood” and we made the also rather infamous T-Shirt design that said “Tony Mag Says Go To Hell”, with the word “concave” real small below that text.
Later, Francesco made a graphic, showing what that trip might look like.
T-Shirt is 100% super soft preshrunk and fitted ring-spun cotton, tag-less with a double needle bottom hem and sleeves. Shoulder-to-shoulder taping, cover seamed neck.
We are doing this with our new T-Shirt print partners that do digital printing, which is different from silk screening. You will get a smoother and lighter print that “breathes” better than silk screening. All T-Shirts hold up better with a gentle wash cycle, inside out.

About Tony Magnusson
Tony Mag started skateboarding in Stockholm, Sweden when skateboarding swept the country in 1976. After spending a few years at the top of the Swedish skateboard scene, T-Mag won the National Championship and toured the nation. The young T-Mag decided to pursue his life dream of becoming the best skateboarder in the world and jumped on a plane to California at age 16 in 1980.
T-Mag became a “park local” skateboarder at the legendary Del Mar Skate Ranch and decided to learn how to make skateboards. He immersed himself in the business of designing, manufacturing, marketing and selling them.
While the beginning was humble, over a 45-year time span, T-Mag has traveled the world as a professional skateboarder, started multiple successful companies in the action sports industry, besides H-Street Skateboards and still rides a skateboard today.
