The legendary Hensley King Size Limited Edition Eagle, G Series, are handmade at Legend Skates with original silk screen techniques by Screaming Squeegees all here in California. It’s made with original specs including the Old School hole pattern and double drilled.

The G Series have different treatments on dyed wood, and the Hydro Dip is a special treatment that creates a totally unique background image, the image on this page is a representation of the process.

We decide to experiment with one of the colorways and use Flocking which is a custom screen process that essentially makes a felt like surface. It’s inspired by 60’s and 70’s psychedelic posters and Screaming Squeegees pioneered this technique many years ago. It’s not commonly used, and it makes a better wall hanger than actual rider. They turned out amazing and we will probably do more of this style.

The graphics to the Kingsize Eagle were drawn by Francesco Jekill Albertini, who was inspired by bold, single color printed deck graphics from the 70’s and figured that Matt would really like such a simple and bold concept, he was right.

The Italian skate artist found the American Eagle as the perfect image and inspiration and the Kingsize Eagle would become one of H-Street’s most treasured designs and iconic art of the 80’s era and it’s now available for the first time in many years from when we did the A through F Series.

About Matt Hensley

Matt Hensley started to ride a skateboard in the late 70’s, while all the really great skate parks were still around. His local park was Surf de Earth Skatepark in Vista CA, where many of the legendary San Diego Pro’s, like Doug “Pineapple” Saladino, Dennis Martinez, Shogo Kubo and Dave Andrecht also skated.

During the 80’s, Matt became a household name in the world of skateboarding through his unique approach, style and progressive street skating, in which he and a few other super talented young street riders would change skateboarding forever.

In 2018, Matt got inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame, Matt remains a legend in skateboarding and significant part of H-Street, both past and present.
